♥ On Wednesday 30th, Special retriever show was held in Nitra and we with our little Finnie, NSDTR, also went to it. We really looked forward to going to this show because it was Finnie´s first show in a hall but this time not in baby class but in puppy class. Also it is a wonderful opportunity where we can meet and talk with many breeders of retrievers at one spot and receive new advices and experience.

Finnie showed herself very well in the ring, running and also in a showing pose. She showed her typical facial expression, cheerful and brisk walk and also she didn´t forget to kiss a judge. We got very nice judgement with grade very promising and BOB puppy.

Ayran, Atrey´s son, went to his very first dog show. We are very happy that we had an opportunity to see Atrey´s son. He is very beautiful puppy with nice dark pigment after daddy. A judge really liked Ayran, he got grade very promising 1 and title BOB baby. Congratulation.

The meeting of tollers in Krakow, PL  -  27.10.2012
♥ On Saturday 27th of October 2012 we were invited by the breeders from the dog kennel Dancing with Fire, Małgorzata Korbel and Michał Litwa, to the meeting of tollers in Krakow. Because we don´t have this oportunity to meet so many tollers at the same time in Slovakia, so we were very pleased by this option. The meeting took place in a huge beautiful park in the centre of Krakow. There were around 12 tollers together with their owners. Finnie really enjoyed company of so many dogs, she couldn´t have decided with whom to start to play as the first. Soon she totally got used to the pack of dogs. Tollers are very passionate retrievers and during whole walking they were showing us their desire to retrieve what is typical for this breed. It was unbelievable to watch this pack to run for one ball, grab it, run back and wait for another throw. We are very glad that we could participate on this meeting and we are already looking forward for another similar action.

♥ Our Finnie is already half year old. Time flies so fast, just not so long time ago small brown girl with beautiful white spots and white socks came to us. In these times she is a bigger doggie always smilings and on her expression you can see roguishness, ready to do whatever what is offered to her.

♥ We got great news from Finland. A father of Finnie, Dragonflame´s Great Red Sky, has his result of genetic test CEA/CH - Normal/Clear. Finnie has both parents CEA/CH - Normal/Clear and prcd-PRA - Optigen A - Normal/Clear !

♥ We received results of genetic tests of our Finnie which were done by American company OptiGen. Finnie is:

♥ We looked forward to going to this dog show pretty much because it was totally first dog show of our girl Finnie where she was showed in baby class. This time competition took place in a big area with large show rings, enough place for showing and walking dogs and for exhibitors and spectators. It was too hot outside so there was opportunity to chill and wet dogs in small pools or directly with tubes. There were also big tents with air conditioning and water spray which was very pleasant and refreshing. Finnie was interested in new surrounding and amounth of dogs which were at the show. She entered ring full of energy and excitement. A judge wrote us very nice judgment and send us to the final competitions The most beautiful puppy of the dog show BIS Baby. She was choosen to a selection of six most beautiful puppies at the show out of eighteen puppies.

♥ The second day we were judged by swedish judge who the minute he noticed Finnie he was impressed. Like usually Finnie gave out kisses and smiles. The judge liked her so much that he said that during his 25 years of judging he hadn´t seen so beautiful puppy of toller like Finnie is and that he wanted to see her again year later at this show. He wrote us this nice judgment :

"beautiful puppy, love everything about her from the nose to the tail, everything is wonderful, super move, excellent temperament, good luck for the future".

♥ Today we went out with our little Finnie where we trained retrieving dummies and also began with searching in higher grass. She was excellent, she went for it, grabbed aport and ran back to me. It was nice to watch her and how he works with happiness and lightness in the field. We took also few photos which you can see.

♥ We welcome a new member of our family, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever girl Dragonflame´s Spread Your Wings - “Finnie“ .

We traveled to Finland to kennel Dragonflame´s for this puppy. Although in Slovakia there is only a small number of dogs of this breed, in countries such as Finland, Sweden, Norway „Tollers“ , as their nicname, are widely spread. When we were making a decision which breed we choose, the crucial factor was his desire to work because I devote to competition in Obedience. We didn´t want to choose different group as retrievers and then we found, in Slovakia so little known, „Canadian retriever“ – Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. It´s smaller, lighter and faster dog than Labrador, with great pleasure and desire to work. He perfectly matched our expectations so our next task was to find convenient litter and parents with good health, showing and working results.
Big thanks to Sanna for opportunity to have as beautiful and energic puppy as our Finnie.

Finland is very nice country with wonderful nature and environment. We had no problem to communicate because almost everyone in Finland can speak also English. We are very glad that we had an opportunity to have a puppy right there and so got to know new people and other nice part of the world.

Today we saw puppies who were pretty grown, gained weight, they are very playful and fearless. Everyone has many puppies around so we don´t need to be afraid that we´ll miss stroking or playing with them. We added new photos from 4th and 5th week to a section  - offspring.

First round of Leauge Obedience 2012 – Lapáš 28.4.2012
♥ After being successful in passing Obedience exam in class Beginners with Yaky in 1st prize-excellent, I have decided that we will be preparing and competing in more difficult class OB 1 during this new season.

So on Friday afternoon we went to the First competition of League OB which took place in Lapáš. This competition was quite different for me. Yaky participated in a competition of League OB for the very fisrt time and also in a class OB 1. I had undergone training of judges and I had required habilitations in class OB Beginners and OB 3 for obtaining my certification. It was total new experience as that like a handler. It was neccessary to be focused on a work of a handler and a dog and after finishing an exercise give them appropriate points and consult it with judges. Besides this new experience I also stewarded a class OB 2.

On Saturday morning sun shined a lot so dogs were tired and exhausted very early. We didn´t place with Yaky in first places but Yaky pleased me very much with his attention and joy with wich he did individual exercises. Althought not everything went like it should, we both enjoyed it and we are already looking forward to another competition where we will show what new we will have learnt and how our progress looks like.

♥ Happy Birthday ATREYKO !!!
The first April is a special day when our Atrey was born. He came into our lives as a small cute pup who gained not only his weight but also height in a couple of months and has become very important part of our life.
Atrey, you mean very much to me. You are the one who I participated in my first dog show with and actively joined dog shows not only in Slovakia but mostly abroad. We reached together lots of titles in relatively short time, you are a natural Showman, a dog who likes to show and perform. But it didn´t end there. We started to train field work and we soon found out that both of us enjoyed that. We proved that by passing an ability test for retrievers and a couple of moths later by succeding in field exam JSMP both in first price. Then we enjoyed doing Canistherapy, successfully passed twice Canistherapeutic exams and we attended the Re-education center in Bankov for two years. Because you are very smart dog who likes to learn new and difficult tricks, we have started to train Obedience and we have successfully passed exams and competed in classes OB Beginners and OB1. We have had a lot of it together, every day you know how to delight me so the person is never bored.
You are and always will be a special dog for me ! All the best to Your 5th Birthday !

♥ On Sunday morning we went out to meadows outside of Košice with Maja and Peťo Výrostkovci and the breeder of our Atrey Rasťo Mirgus and his little daughter Natálka with our four-legged friends. Together there were eight dogs-labradors. During the walk we also practised retrieving dummies because of ideal conditions for exercising such as many meadows, fields, forests, ditches and so we could simulate a variety of situations to which we sent dogs and they searched and retrieved.
